Schools        need: a raised awareness of the potential of teaching assistants training to use skilled, qualified and experienced TAs to the best advantage to ensure all staff understand the potential available from suitably trained support a senior manager responsible for the deployment and management of TAs and HLTAs to ensure that TAs and HLTAs are part of the whole school staff team a system of appointment, review and evaluation which ensures quality provision and value for money an informed governing body and informed parents to ensure the school's use and deployment of human resources is fully understood by all.
